Jathan Juarez Joins Spirits
Versatile Midfielder Set for First Professional Indoor Season with Lehigh Valley
Allentown, PA – The Lehigh Valley Spirits have signed midfielder Jathan Juarez ahead of the club’s inaugural Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) season in 2026-27.
Juarez, 23, makes the transition to the indoor game for the first time with Lehigh Valley following multiple seasons of professional outdoor experience in MLS NEXT Pro.
In his first four professional seasons with Carolina Core FC (2024-2025) and Houston Dynamo 2 (2022-2023), he registered three goals and seven assists while appearing in 98 regular season games as both a defender and midfielder.
Capable of contributing as a wingback or centerback in the outdoor game, Juarez was recognized during his time with Carolina for his ability to defend effectively while responsibly joining the attack.
Last year, the versatile two-way player appeared in all 28 regular season games with Carolina, while establishing himself as a notable offensive threat with 27 total scoring attempts and registering a career-high three assists.
Prior to his time with Carolina, the San Antonio, Texas native began his professional career in his home state with Houston Dynamo 2 during the 2022 MLS NEXT Pro season after developing within the Houston Dynamo Academy since 2018. He became the fifth academy product to sign a professional contract with Dynamo 2 after regularly training with the club’s MLS team.
Juarez will now bring his talent from the outdoor game to the MASL as he joins the Spirits for their inaugural campaign later this fall.
